![]() If you don't like it I'm sure you'll almost get all your money back moving it along again. OJ, you're a man of curiosity and many listen to you intently I suggest you buy the E-drive which I believe is the cheapest, quality unit on the market and trial it and give your verdict. Until I have the ECU flashed I will be leaving mine in but will remove it if no longer required after the flash. It's a cheap "Up" for the Challengers which unfortunately have many "Downs". Turning the unit back to normal mode is absolute shite now that I have run it for more than 12 months. It makes the throttle respond faster which just sticking it to it harder or faster just doesn't do. You definately can't replicate what it does by sticking your steel cap into it harder I've tried. ![]() I'm as bigger skeptic as are most of you in regards to these types of product but this one does work. I have the E-drive unit, they can be had for about $159 on eBay. Perceived improvements can feel real, just a change in engine note or when the auto up-shifts can make the car feel more responsive to drive yet may not effect actual acceleration times. Whether the improvements are real or perceived would require scientific testing. As far as ECU response time goes a 4 cylinder 4 stroke engine at 2,000rpm has 8.3 injection cycles per second so that is an injection cycle every 0.12 seconds, therefore it is not inconceivable that improvements by fitting a throttle booster may actually happen. Whilst I agree with the logic behind the thoughts that "throttle boosters" shouldn't work any differently to putting your foot down further, I have not tested a unit so I cannot comment with certainty.īut I do know that changing the way you drive and/or the effect of an EGR resistor mod is very real in regards to the drive experience, most of the improvements you can feel come from the way the auto trans responds to the engine output and how this effects the Adaptive Learning Function.
